This page explains the grading scale for this course. Below are how your grades will be weighted.

Assignments

Below is the list of assignments you will complete during this 8-week course. Each assignment is due in the week in which it is assigned.

Lesson 1

During this lesson, your assignment is to participate in a discussion. Discussions are part of the activities of the course and are weighted at 25% of your grade.

Lesson 2

During this lesson you will create a PowerPoint (or Google Slides) deck with examples of the elements and principles of design. This is a project that, along with other projects, will count toward 50% of your grade.

Lesson 3

During this lesson you will complete one activity and one project. The activity, counting toward 25% of your grade will be to find one website demonstrating good color usage and one website as an example of bad color usage. The project you will create (weighted at 50% of your grade), is a presentation of your choosing demonstrating good color usage throughout.

Lesson 4

This week there is one project weighted at 50% of your grade. The project will be to create a power point (or google slides) presentation, but the focus will be on your use of accessibility tools. Don't forget to take your post assessment. The post assessment will be 25% of your grade.

Lesson 5

This week is an activity worth 25% of your grade. The activity will be to participate in a discussion with your classmates (in the comments box) and responding to at least 2 classmate's posts.

Lesson 6

This week there is one project weighted at 50% of your grade. The project will be to create a participant guide as a group.

Lesson 7

This week there is one project weighted at 50% of your grade. The project will be to create a power point (or google slides) presentation including a 2-minute digital story. The final project submitted for review will be a video of you presenting your slideshow and video.

Lesson 8

This week there are two assignments. One is an activity (25% of your grade) to participate in a virtual call. The second assignment is a project weighted at 50% of your grade. The project will be to create a video.
